About 2 weeks ago, I wrote "I don't like to stink...". I had just ordered my Primal Pit Paste and couldn't wait to try it out! I've been using it for almost 2 weeks now, and I have to say....Primal Pit Paste is AMAZING!! I can make it through the entire day, even to the next morning! There are some mainstream deodorants that can't even do that for me. I also feel like my pits are much happier with the pit paste, less irritation. I've really tested it too. My mom and I mow my grandmothers lawn once a week and it even held out through that, socially stressful events too. I am honestly amazed at how well this stuff works. I love the creamsicle smell too. It doesn't hang on throughout the day, but I don't stink once the yummy smell is gone, there's just no smell at all. =) I am one happy customer!

I don't like to stink...
I'm all about trying to cut out extra chemicals when it comes to what I put in and on my body. I have tried, for a while now, to find a natural deodorant that works. I guess it needs to do more than work, I need it to go fairly unnoticed on my armpits and me NOT stink come the end of the day. Am I holding out too much hope?!? I've tried several different things, and while one was my favorite, it just didn't keep the stench away long enough. It also seemed to make my pits a bit sticky. Not cool... I had given up for a while because it didn't seem like a good idea to test new ones out during the summer. That would be the ultimate test, but it almost didn't seem fair. I mean, it gets hot here... I really don't like to stink.
I had read a while back that Food Babe had rated the Primal Pit Paste pretty high. I thought a little of it and moved on for a while. Well, now I'm back to it. I just ordered a tub of the creamsicle, and YES, I do realize that it's for kids. I already checked with them, there is no difference in strength, kiddos just get really awesome scents. I want in on that too. I'm kind of like a kid, right?! I just hope I don't stink come the end of the day. We'll see!! I'll be sure to keep you posted!

Becoming a Product of the Product...
I've been in bad health for a long while. Not so much medically, but eating unhealthy, going on diets that I quickly go off of, still eating foods with horrible ingredients when I'm trying to eat "healthy" and being overweight. Since joining It Works!, I have really started looking at everything. I'm starting to really put my health first. I've started taking many supplements that have really made a change for the way I feel.
Here's what I'm taking now:
The last two I only use occasionally, not every day. My day normally looks like this:
Breakfast: ProFit in vanilla almond milk and 1/2 a Starbucks Via Iced Coffee, a ThermoFit
Mid-morning "snack": Greens in V8 fruit and veggie juice, 2 Confianza
Lunch: something light, a ThermoFit
Dinner: fairly healthy, 2 FatFighters
Some days I add in another serving of Greens, just depends on if I feel like I need an energy lift. Throughout the day it's water, water, and MORE water! As of yesterday, I am down already 4lbs from Sunday. I'm not trying to drop my weight extremely fast, it's just happening. I am definitely eating, for those that know me know that I'm not the type to not eat. :D That's why I am where I am. ha!
I want to add in exercise soon, I'm just not sure wha
t will suit me best. Currently, my weight still is a bit high for some things, it kills my joints.
Please comment with suggestions or questions! =)

Ultimate ProFit yumminess...
I've been drinking It Works! Ultimate ProFit in chocolate for about a month now. I LOVE it! I'm not a protein drink lover for sure. I've tried Insanity, keyword is TRIED, and Bryan had me drinking them after every work out. I had a hard time stomaching them every night. I really love the ProFit though. It tastes great and it has all these great perks:
Since I don't exercise all that much. Yeah, I know. :-/ I'm really drinking it as a meal replacement. I love the first two perks I listed. Of course it would have more calories depending on what you mix it in, but with my almond milk it only adds 60 calories. You can add a scoop of Ultimate ProFit to 8oz of water, milk, juice, or blend in your favorite foods! I always mix it in almond milk and mix in some favorites.
My favorites with the chocolate are:
Funky Monkey
1 scoop chocolate Ultimate ProFit
8oz almond milk
1/2 of a banana
1 tbsp of nut butter (almond, peanut...)
3 ice cubes
Blend and enjoy!
Cafe Mocha
1 scoop chocolate Ultimate ProFit
8oz vanilla almond milk
1/2 of Starbucks Via Iced Coffee packet
Shake! You can drink this over ice, blend in 3 ice cubes or straight from the shaker!
As soon as I try new varieties I will share. These have just been very yummy and easy for me so I haven't tried anything else. =) I'm also planning on getting the vanilla soon, so I'll add some recipes for it also!
- Non-hormonal and non-GMO whey and soy proteins
- Natural, whole-food ingredients with only 100 calories per serving
- FITboost, an antioxidant blend of mood-elevating "superfoods" for immune system health
- Sustain-It, a smarter protein blend for maximum bio-availability in every gram
- FITzyme, a cutting-edge blend of enzymes, helps maximize your body's ability to absorb Sustain-It

Do you shampoo?
I've been using the "no-poo" method for washing my hair for a while now. I believe my longest shampoo-free streak was close to 5 or 6 months. Crazy right?!? 10 years ago, I would have thought this was disgusting. 5 years ago, I would have thought this was a bit too "crunchy" for me. =) Amazing how we change, huh?
While I was out of town I used 365 brand shampoo, Whole Foods brand, because I forgot my baking soda and apple cider vinegar. I have such a sensitive scalp that even that bothered me since I've been "no-pooing" for so long. I was really looking forward to coming home and getting back into my normal "shampoo" routine. The Whole Foods brand doesn't allow parabens, synthetic fragrances, polypropylene and polyethylene glycols, sodium lauryl and laureth sulfates, which is why chose it before I went to a "no-poo" method.
Have you been considering a change? I really like what using the baking soda does for my hair. It curls better and I have longer times between washing, which is a big plus for me because my scalp can't handle being washed everyday. Another great incentive...it's CHEAP!! Why does shampoo have to be so expensive? I'm pretty sure 2 boxes of Target brand baking soda and a gallon bottle of acv cost me $5 or $6. That has lasted me forever. I even just recently found some condiment bottles at Walmart for a couple of dollars and I'm now using them for my "shampoo" and "conditioner". =) So, if you're curious and would like to try, here is the very simple routine that I follow!
- 1 tbsp of baking soda (shampoo)
- 1 tbsp of acv (conditioner)
- 2 cups or squeeze type bottles
- water from the shower head
Once I'm ready to use one, I put it under the shower head and fill the container about 3/4 the way up, I put the lid on and shake! I put the "shampoo" all around my hairline and make sure to work it in as I'm applying it. Then I give a good squirt in the middle and work it in as well. After that, I rinse it all out and put just a bit of the "conditioner" on my ends, from about the middle down. I don't really need it near the roots much. Then I rinse it. That's it!
This is really easy to customize once you try it and figure out your needs. You may end up with dry hair or scalp and need more of or a stronger mixture of the acv. If you have really oily hair then you will probably need the same of the baking soda. I know there are a lot of different recipes out there but this was the simplest of them and I'm all for anything that makes my life easier.
So do you "no-poo" or shampoo? Do you have a different recipe that you use? Share! I'd love to hear what works for others! =)

What a job!
I'm loving this job. The hubby got a call on Tuesday that they wanted him for an interview, the very next morning, at a plant 2 hours away. Luckily, we were already headed there for the weekend, so we just packed up and left! How many people get to pack up there work and take it somewhere else for 5 or 6 days? We had the boys, the dog AND cat and it rained the whole time we were there. I was STILL able to work my business!!
I was working out in the driveway watching the boys play until this...
Then I moved it in the garage and let them play in the rain. We had already spent too much time indoors so I wasn't about to make them come in. No thunder = awesome fun in the rain!!
Then shortly after the downpour we were back to sunny again! I just stayed in the garage. I got a bit tired of moving my office. =)
I am so blessed that I was given this opportunity! I'm so thankful for the ladies that brought this into my life! While I was down there I was able to share the opportunity with, and sign on, a woman we both went to high school with. I love that I can be where my family needs me and work, It Works! really is doing great things in lives of others!
